Howdy, and thanks for stopping by.

Where the name came from

A daughter and son-in-law called their new baby “Baby Bear,” so they became Mama Bear and Papa Bear. That led to them calling me Grizzly Gramps. I stole the name for the soap line and some other products that will come with time. I hope they don’t mind.

A little about me

I grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming, in the shadow of Mount Rushmore. My careers ranged from the timber industry to servicing the computer and internet world, with forays into oil, publishing, and grain handling.

We’ve lived in this old house in a micro-town on the plains of northeastern South Dakota since 2003, and in the area 8 years before that. It’s tundra in the winter and jungle in the summer!

I started selling on eBay in February 2026, and it’s grown into a little store called Gramps Goods:

How I ship

My official handling time is 2 business days, but I strive to ship the same business day and mostly hit that goal. If I have your order by 10 A.M., it’s usually in the mail when my awesome postal carrier comes by for the day.
